New Mexico: Chama - August 8

The train stopped her and was hosed down to cool it off after climbing the mountain.

The man on the bicycle raced the train up the mountain and beat it! He bikes to stay in shape for skiing in the winter at his home in Vail. His wife is a scrapbooker and was in San Antonio visiting her mother while he was racing trains up mountains.

Colorado: Delores - August 2

We stopped at the train museum in Delores on the way home from Telluride.


It was closed but we got photos of this interesting looking vehicle that is part bus and part train. It was used in this area for 20 years and still does short trips for special occasions.
