March 14, Natchez City Cemetery

The Natchez Cemetery is well worth a visit or in our case two visits since we plan to return tomorrow to get morning light and find a couple of graves we weren't able to find today - graves with quite interesting stories about the persons buried there. The reason there is so much ironwork is because so many people living in Natchez in the 1800s were incredibly wealthy. Nineteen out of 26 millionaires of the times lived in Natchez.
