Ballentine's Day - Lake Placid

Galen and I celebrated Ballentine's Day, February 14, by going out to breakfast at Main Street American in Lake Placid, FL.  This place can get very noisy at lunch time but it was a great place for breakfast.  After breakfast we wandered around town taking photos of some of the many murals painted on walls all over town.

Dewey, the inventor of the Dewey Decimal System, was also the founder of two resort towns:  Lake Placid, NY and Lake Placid, FL.

There is a clown museum in Lake Placid, but I don't like clowns.

Lake Placid is the Caladium capitol of the world so of course there is a mural of a caladium field.

Here kitty kitty kitty.  :-)
