| Here is home for the summer. This photo, taken from a different angle, would show four mountain peaks behind us. One of those peaks is Mount Blanca which is what they call a fourteener because it is over 14,000' high. We are at about 8000' here. The house in the background is the caretakers house and where Jen and Ken live and take care of their dogs, a bison, and a couple of horses. Don't see any electrical wires? There are none because the house is totally off the grid. Hot water and power come from solar panels on the roof of the house. |
